December 25th, 2008 .Last Minute Shopping
December 23rd, 2008 .Well my list is about done, but I have a few more things to buy for gifts.I will have to get out of the house first thing in the morning and the buy the last of them.
I almost forgot to buy wrapping paper and ribbon! That means another trip to Walgreens since they are close and stay open late. I need an extra pair of hands to help me get all this wrapping done!

November 25th, 2008 .My favorite meal of the year: Thanksgiving Dinner!
We’ll have all the goodies that go with turkey: whipped potatoes and gravy, green bean casserole, buttermilk biscuits, jellied cranberries, and pies.

Don’t have the license yet
October 30th, 2008 .I am quite surprised that I have not yet received the license yet from the Board of Pharmacy, saying that I’m a registered Pharmacy Tech. I sent in the paperwork on October 20, and here it is ten days later, and no license. I think that if I don’t get the license by tomorrow’s mail I’m going to make a phone call and see if they got my application and if there are any problems with it.
Passed the state certification test
October 24th, 2008 .I passed the state certification test last weekend – I was so surprised when I went on line to register for the test that I could take it on a weekend – the last time I checked the site the only times were mid-week. But a whole bunch of new locations were added, and the closest one to where I live does testing on weekends, so I signed up for the test. I was really nervous that I would not pass the test, but it was a lot easier than I expected. They allow an hour to do the test, but I finished it in twenty minutes. While I was there I met another pharm tech who had just finished the test and she told me it was easy.
I asked her where she worked and she told me it was a CVS in a nearby town. I asked her how much they paid and she didn’t want to tell me (shame.) I told her how much I had been paid where I WAS working and her eyes bugged out of her head and she told me that was all I could expect to get paid anywhere. So that was a disappointment – if I had realized that pharm techs were so poorly paid I probably never would have bothered pursuing that job!
