Teslas electric sports car

Wednesday, January 4th, 2012

This cool car company called Tesla Motors has made a totally electric sports car that can go from 0 to 60 in less then 4 seconds and has a top speed of over 125 miles per hour.

On a fully charged battery the car can operate for about 3 and a half hours and runs on no fuel whatsoever, making it a zero emissions car.

its a really great looking car, and if you have solar panels installed at home it costs you nothing to recharge the battery, so you will never have to pay for gas or to charge the cars battery.

The price tag on this car is at $100,000 per car, but is well worth every penny in my opinion because of the looks and the features and the huge potential savings on fuel.

New TV Shows About Fish

Thursday, September 1st, 2011

Every now and then I like watching The Animal Planet and I had heard of a new show that didn’t really sound like something that I would enjoy, but I have to say that their new show called Tanked was pretty entertaining, much better than their other new show called Hillbilly Handfishing. It’s just not something that I can get into and I’m pretty sure that it won’t survive for another season.

Snow fun

Friday, January 7th, 2011

I really enjoy watching out the windows at the kids when they play in the snow. It brings back so many memories of my own youth, when I had so much fun playing in the snow. Making snowmen, and snow angels, and snowball fights. Sledding, skiing, snow shoeing. Snow days off from school, drinking hot chocolate (or hot buttered rum when I was older!) and trips to the ski resorts. Those were some of the best times of my life. I hope the kids that are outside playing in the snow are making great memories of their own.

Myrtle Beach, Here We Come!

Thursday, October 14th, 2010

I’ve just been informed that next year’s family get together is going to be held in Myrtle Beach. Sounds good to me, I love Myrtle Beach and haven’t been there in some time and have been looking for an opportunity to spend some time there. I think that I will start looking around online and see what type of resorts in Myrtle Beach would be a good choice for us to use.

Since the whole family enjoys playing golf I want to findĀ a nice Myrtle Beach hotel that will help us not only with the lodging side of it, but help us with tee times as well. I’ve heard that there is some awesome golfing to be found in that area and I look forward to finding out for myself.

In the email that I received announcing the location we were provided with the link of http://avistaresort.com which really sparked my interest and is making me want to see what all there is to offer online for this particular event that will hopefully be a total blast for everyone involved. But first we have to get through winter, I hope it isn’t a bad one and we get through it quickly.

WTG Halladay!

Wednesday, October 6th, 2010

Turns out that Roy Halladay actually pulled it off! He pitched a no hitter tonight against the Cincinnati Reds. The final score was Phillies 4, Reds 0.

Halladay’s feat became the second no-hitter in postseason history, with the only other no-hitter 54 years ago. This is a really big deal for major league baseball and its no wonder my Dad was so excited!

Don Larsen is the only other MLB pitcher who has ever pitched a postseason no-hitter. He threw a perfect game for the New York Yankees in their 1956 World Series against the Brooklyn Dodgers.
