No Melt Ice Cream

Thursday, August 20th, 2009

Cold Stone Creamery has been busy putting little gourmet ice cream shops in malls and shopping centers all over the country. I’ve tried it a couple of times. As much as I love ice cream, I can’t justified spending $5-$6 per person for a cone of ice cream.

But this morning I read that Cold Stone has invented an ice cream that does not melt. It looks like a pudding or mousse and, according to the report, still tastes like ice cream. That might be worth a try!

Bunnies

bunnypots

Just before dark, the bunnies come out in my yard. There are about 6 of them. It is always startling to step out of my door and see all the sudden movement as they hop away. But it’s kind of cool, too.

Don’t have the license yet

Thursday, October 30th, 2008

I am quite surprised that I have not yet received the license yet from the Board of Pharmacy, saying that I’m a registered Pharmacy Tech.  I sent in the paperwork on October 20, and here it is ten days later, and no license.  I think that if I don’t get the license by tomorrow’s mail I’m going to make a phone call and see if they got my application and if there are any problems with it.

Not surprised, just disappointed

Monday, August 18th, 2008

Well, I’ve been working at my new job for about two weeks now, and I have to say that I’m not surprised, just disappointed to find that people are just as crabby and aggravating here as they have been everywhere I’ve ever worked.  I am being trained by several people who keep contradicting each other and telling me to do things “their” way, which is the exact opposite of the other training person’s way.  I’m constantly being scolded for doing what I’ve been told to do, and it is very frustrating.  I wish I was independently wealthy and could just stay home!

Cool eco-friendly gadgets

Tuesday, June 17th, 2008

I love buying and using things that are eco-friendly.  I think I began recycling things long before I knew what recycling was!  I like to do whatever I can to make this earth a healthier, safer place to live.  So I was really excited to discover the www.ecogeekliving.com website because it is full of really cool gadgets like the LED shake flashlight.  This little gadget needs no batteries; you just shake it for one minute, and it will provide you with thirty minutes of light.  That’s plenty of time to do most of the things you need to get done with a flashlight!
