Lost earring

Thursday, September 2nd, 2010

I was reading an article on the Internet today about some pro football player from the Miami Dolphins who made the mistake of going to practice with a really expensive diamond earring in his ear and that he lost it during practice.  I can sympathise with that, I lose earrings a lot too!  Of course, I don’t wear really expensive ones but it is a drag to lose a piece of jewelry that you like…..

The author of the article suggested that a metal detector would find that earring.  I don’t know if there would be enough metal in a diamond stud earring for a metal detector to find it.  What do you think?

Poor dizzy kitty

I found this video on YouTube about a cat that got an unexpected ride on a ceiling fan! It’s funny and sad at the same time. I’m glad that the cat is OK!

Summer Reruns

Wednesday, August 26th, 2009

The TV networks have been running ads for weeks about the new season shows and yet we still have a long way to go before the premieres are on the air. I don’t think they need to tease us for over 3 months about upcoming shows. Couldn’t that air time be put to better use?

I’ve been watching repeat shows all summer and I’m totally sick of them. Some of the repeats are the fourth time I’ve seen the same episode. This is ridiculous. The networks are still programming and operating like this is the 1950’s. They need to realize that the viewers have different lifestyles now and quit with the summer reruns.

New Movies

Thursday, June 18th, 2009

This summer has a great lineup of movies coming out. I can’t believe how many big budget movies are coming to the big screen. Some of them truly deserve or need to be seen on the big screen to get maximum enjoyment, like the new Star Wars and new Transformers sequel. I think I will try to catch a couple of them for matinee shows, when the ticket price is reduced and the day is so hot that it will be nice to be indoors at a movie in air conditioned comfort.
