But this morning I read that Cold Stone has invented an ice cream that does not melt. It looks like a pudding or mousse and, according to the report, still tastes like ice cream. That might be worth a try!

So I do appreciate what the farmers go through to get these huge beautiful ears of corn to the market for us to enjoy with our dinners. I don’t mind paying up to a dollar an ear for good, fresh sweet corn!

My kids helped me clean up after everyone left, and now I have a moment to sit at the computer before I collapse into bed. I’m going to sleep well tonight!

This afternoon’s bus run took longer than usual; there were two delays at the railroad crossings that I have to go over. As a result I was about twenty minutes later getting home than usual. It was unfortunate because even though I told my hubby that I’d call him as I was leaving the bus yard parking lot and on my way home (which takes about 20 minutes) when I called him to say I was on my way he was upset because he had supper already on the table, and it was cold when I got home.

I’ve apologized several times, but he’s still upset with me. He told me that I should have called the train engineers and told them to hurry up because my supper was waiting!

As if I could really DO that! LOLOL!

Tea is one of my favorite beverages. I love to drink a cup of tea in the morning when I first get up. My youngest son also enjoys tea when he first gets up. I learned to love tea when I was a little girl. My parents drank tea in the morning, the basic black pekoe tea with sugar and milk. It was a great treat to be allowed to have a sip of it in the morning!

In the summertime, our family drank a lot of ice tea, sweetened with lots of sugar! More recently we have started to drink flavored ice teas, and I have been trying to drink decaffeinated ice teas. My doctor has recommended that I consume less caffeine, so I try to limit myself to only one cup of “regular” tea per day.

As I got older, many of my friends encouraged me to try different flavors of tea. I had never heard of different flavors of tea! So I started experimenting with herbal teas, and found that I like them too! I usually add a spoonful of honey to them.

More recently I have been learning about the health benefits of Green Tea. I have heard that green tea has antioxidants which have are said to have many health benefits and assist in losing weight. Green tea is the only kind of tea that my youngest son will drink now that he is older! I like it with a little bit of honey in it; he prefers it plain. There is a green tea product on the market called Green Tea HP that is made from fresh green tea that is a blend of highly-concentrated green tea, noni juice, pomegranate juice, resveratrol and trace minerals. This Green Tea HP comes in six different flavors and is delicious hot or cold and can be purchased through their website at http://www.greenteahp.tv

I’ve got to have one!

The butter dish is sold at the website www.vat19.com, which specializes in unique gifts. I am going to bookmark that site and spend a lot of time looking at their products!

I love to clip coupons from the Sunday paper. I save a lot of money at the grocery store with them. In fact, this morning I went grocery shopping and saved $20 from using the coupons I had clipped out!

I just found out about another great source for grocery coupons – an Internet website called ppgazette.com. That site has Free Grocery Coupons that you can print off on your printer, and it also has free recipes, grocery store circulars online, and links to cooking articles.

You have to register with the site to get the coupons, which takes a couple of minutes. And you have to install coupon printer software to get the coupons to print.
