Well today was the first day of my Pharmacy Technician class. I did my morning bus run as usual, then drove home and changed my clothes, had a snack, then headed out to class. I had to stop to fill up the gas tank (ouch) and then off I went. It was an hour’s drive from home, which I had expected, but it was a good clear drive, very little traffic problems.
I had a hard time finding a parking space, so I was glad that I left 30 minutes earlier than I thought I needed to; by the time I parked the car and walked to the building, I only had ten minutes to spare.
The class was more interesting than I thought it would be; I was disappointed to learn that we are going to have to do “team projects.” I don’t like doing “team projects.” My experience with doing them is that there is always at least one slacker that rides the coat tails of the others that will actually do the work. I really get ticked off at someone getting a good grade off of my work when they won’t contribute to the project.
But we were already assigned the two “teams” by drawing numbers, and we already have the assigned project. I don’t know any of the other students well enough to know who will work and who won’t. It will be interesting to see what happens.
