This afternoon I was driving the school kids home on the bus.  The day was very warm, so the windows were down.  I really could not see the farmland we were driving past, but I could certainly smell the odor of chicken manure fertilizer on the breeze!  The kids were all complaining “what’s that smell?”  When I told them what it was, they were totally grossed out!  I was kind of surprised they didn’t know what the smell was, haven’t they lived here all their young lives??????  I’m the newcomer here, I should have been the one asking “what’s that smell?!”
