My hubby tries to keep in touch with his daughter, the cop in New England.   We get free long distance calls on the weekends, so if she hasn’t called him in a while, he tries to call her.

So, he made a phone call to her today and talked for quite a while.  She has been ill with that nasty sinus infection crud that has been going around.  There’s a lot of snow (still) happening up there. 

As soon as she recovers from her sinus crud, she will be trying out for the State Police SWAT team.

Her original career plans were to go to law school and become a lawyer, but that has been put on hold while she works for the police.  It sounds to me like she is really enjoying her job, and although she SAYS she will be going back to college, I suspect that she will keep on with her police work.
