My client/friend from New England bought an apartment with the help of experienced Manhattan real estate agents in New York a long time ago. He grew up in New York, and visits it frequently on long weekends. It is a very small efficiency apartment, essentially one room with a bathroom and a closet-turned kitchen.
It was a very expensive apartment to buy because of its location, and he was thrilled to get it. However, he has been thinking about selling it and buying an apartment that is just a little bit larger. He is planning on using Prudential Douglas Elliman for his real estate company. He says that is New York’s largest real estate company, and thinks that he can get the best service through them.
He says that if he can’t get a buyer for his old apartment, maybe he’ll rent it out and just buy another larger one to have, too! Must be nice to have so much money!!!
